Meet Our Amazing Doctor
Dr. Dara Kimia D.M.D.
Dr. Kimia grew up in Montreal, Canada where he attended a 5 year DMD program at the University of Montreal and graduated with honors at the age of 23. He was not only the President of the student body but also served as head of the Canadian Dental Students' Association as well as chapter president of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He received multiple awards for his involvement in the community including a recognition by the American Dental Association for the development of a clinic providing free treatments to the underserved population of Montreal.
After dental school, Dr. Kimia completed a 1 yr Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the esteemed Eastman Dental Institute where he gained vast knowledge of a multidisciplinary approach to dentistry including the management of geriatric patients. During his residency, he served as chief resident and ran the volunteer dental clinic at the Jewish nursing home of Rochester, NY.
After 9 years of practice in NY and Scottsdale AZ, Dr. Kimia moved to Sherman Oaks, CA in 2013 to be closer to his family and pursue his passion of dentistry. He currently also owns a practice in Granada Hills which focuses on phobic patients as well as cosmetic and implant dentistry. He is also accredited and licensed in providing oral and conscious sedation.
Dr. Kimia speaks several languages, has a warm and caring personality and truly prides himself on thoroughly educating his patients. He prefers the “old fashioned” personal relationships. And his philosophy of care revolves around patient comfort, complete dentistry and long term maintenance.
Dr. Kimia holds licenses in Quebec, NY, AZ and California. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Fernando Dental Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity as well as multiple continuing education forums.
Dr. Kimia is also active in volunteering and travels abroad with students to remote, disaster stricken areas around the world to provide access to care.
Dr. Herbert Schneider DDS
Memorial Hospital in New York, after which he served two years in the United States Navy as a Dental Officer. Following an honorable discharge, Dr. Schneider opened a dental practice in Sherman Oaks and Encino, where he has practiced for over forty years.
From 1972-75, Herbert Schneider, DDS was an instructor at USC School of Dentistry, where he received the Advancement of the Dental Profession Award through his contribution as a Dental Educator. He has been a member of the American Dental Association, the California State Dental Association and the San Fernando Valley Dental Association for over forty years.
Dr. Schneider was a founder and board member of a successful Dental Maintenance organization and still provides dental services to its members. He continues to perform all facets of general dentistry, with an emphasis on cosmetic and implant treatments. He has been involved in implant dentistry for almost twenty years, and has seen the changes in technology evolve to the point where implants are now much more predictable, simpler to perform and much longer lasting.
Dr. Brock Lorenz D.M.D.
Dr. Lorenz earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and Certificate in Public Health from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.
He received a Certificate in Periodontology and Master of Science in Dentistry from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Lorenz was President of his class and President of the A.T. Still University Mesa Campus Student Government Association for two years. While in Arizona, he founded outreach clinics and events to improve the oral health of the underserved members of his community. He has received various awards in recognition of his academic accomplishments and humanitarian efforts.
He completed an additional three years of Periodontology training at the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. During his residency, he held the position of Chief Resident and clinical and academic teacher for dental students. In addition to his Certificate in Periodontology, Dr. Lorenz obtained his Master of Science in Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University. He is also certified to provide intravenous and oral sedation.
Dr. Lorenz has lectured for the Florida Academy of Periodontists and his research has been published in Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. He has been active in implant-related research and prospective clinical trials to examine the efficacy of various grafting materials in bone augmentation procedures. Dr. Lorenz owes much of his success to those who trained him – some of the country’s leading implant and periodontal specialists.
Dr. Lorenz is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), Fellow and Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), a member of the Academy of Osseo integration (AO), the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA) the California Dental Society of Anesthesiology (CDSA), the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA) and San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS). He currently resides in Garden Grove with his wife Meagan and daughters Soleil and Celeste.
Dr. Farah Bennett
Dr. Bennett received her DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from University of New York at Buffalo after completing her pre-med in the same school. She is passionate about dentistry, and believes in importance of “continuing education”, which is imperative to mastery of the most recent advancements in all techniques, materials, and disciplines in the dental field. Dr. Bennett is a member of “American Dental Association”, “California Dental Association”, and “Los Angeles Dental Association”.
On her spare time Dr. Bennett enjoys hiking, swimming or creative activities such as painting and writing. Daily workouts and keeping updated with ever changing information on nutrition are other hobbies.
Dr. Sara Tajziehchi
Dr. Sara has been practicing dentistry since 2004. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from University of Southern California USC School of Dentistry. She also participated in UCLA’s pediatric preceptorship program. She also holds a DDS degree from Tehran’s School of Dentistry in her native Iran. Furthermore, Dr. Sara is licensed to practice in California and also licensed by the Western Regional Examining Board (WREB). She has been married for 4 years and enjoys hiking, swimming, cooking and spending time with her husband and their daughter.
